Each picture on these pages is its own file. Some are photographs of a place in or beside the Texas town. Some are drawings of a statement, a calendar, a sales-tax worksheet, or a payroll screen, made for this site alone.

Back to the month.
The education center at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum

Who made the photographs.

Lake Raven, the south shore, the headwater boardwalk, the heron, the bird blind, and the nature center are Commons photographs of Huntsville State Park. The hunting lodge, the rotunda, the law office, the kitchen, the Guerrant cabin, the Roberts Ferris cabin, the education center, and the museum front are Commons photographs of the Sam Houston Memorial Museum. The Masonic lodge, City Hall Cafe, the community theater, and the stretch of Route 190 are from the May 2022 Commons set of street photographs in the Texas town. The boat house on the lake is a further Commons file. Each file that is placed on a page is used once. The street photographs stay in the source table and are not placed on a page.

Licenses are the ones named on each Commons page, including CC BY and CC BY-SA. The author line for each file is in the source table kept with the build. A credit that is wrong can be corrected by a call to the footer number.

What the pictures are doing.

The home opens on a muted clip of the search and a closed May. Lake Raven stays once, beside the practice line, as the pines over the water. The boardwalk stands for a weekend that still has to land in the right month. A bank statement with a highlighter stands for a question that still has to tie. A calendar open to May stands for the dates that do not move. A sales-tax worksheet stands for the county half percent. A payroll screen stands for setup, and the portrait is Steven Palmieri. The street photographs of the lodge, the cafe, the theater, and Route 190 stay in the source table and are not on the pages.

No file is a second crop of another file. No file is a landmark from another city standing in for this town. The portrait of Steven Palmieri, where it appears, is the practice photograph and not a Commons file. Plates carry large words and no digits. The grade on the photograph is light so the place stays readable.
